THIS HURTS!
What hurts…: LEFT SIDE OF NECK.
How you hurt it…: NOT SURE.
When you hurt it…: ABOUT A MONTH AN A HALF AGO.
Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): 5 WHEN I TURN SIDE TO SIDE. (LEFT TO RIGHT) ARE WHEN I YARN.
Your age and overall health…: 26 YEARS.
Any other information you feel is relevant…: WENT TO DOCTOR AND THEY SAID I HAVE A CERICAL STRAIN.
YOUR INJURY COULD BE…
Cervical Strain
REHAB YOUR INJURY BY…
Posture: Lift shoulders up, back and down. This is a good posture to be in. Try to address any awkward posture that you have during your day such as talking on the phone with your neck bent sideways, etc.
Icing: Wrap an ice pack around the back of your neck for approximately 15 minutes. Try to ice 2 to 3 times per day with one hour between icing.
Gentle Shoulder Circles: Gently lifting your shoulders up, back and down and around.
Gentle Neck Stretch: Slowly drop your ear to your shoulder and hold the stretch for 15 seconds. Then slowly drop your chin towards your armpit, holding this for 15 seconds. Repeat this on the other side. Perform this stretch 2 times on each side.
