Neck Pain Rehab Video – Cervical Strain

THIS HURTS!

What hurts…: LEFT SIDE OF NECK.
How you hurt it…: NOT SURE.
When you hurt it…: ABOUT A MONTH AN A HALF AGO.
Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): 5 WHEN I TURN SIDE TO SIDE. (LEFT TO RIGHT) ARE WHEN I YARN.
Your age and overall health…: 26 YEARS.
Any other information you feel is relevant…: WENT TO DOCTOR AND THEY SAID I HAVE A CERICAL STRAIN.

YOUR INJURY COULD BE…

Cervical Strain

REHAB YOUR INJURY BY…

Posture: Lift shoulders up, back and down. This is a good posture to be in. Try to address any awkward posture that you have during your day such as talking on the phone with your neck bent sideways, etc.
Icing: Wrap an ice pack around the back of your neck for approximately 15 minutes. Try to ice 2 to 3 times per day with one hour between icing.

Gentle Shoulder Circles: Gently lifting your shoulders up, back and down and around.

Gentle Neck Stretch: Slowly drop your ear to your shoulder and hold the stretch for 15 seconds. Then slowly drop your chin towards your armpit, holding this for 15 seconds. Repeat this on the other side. Perform this stretch 2 times on each side.

Ankle Pain Rehab Video – Ankle Sprain, Bone Bruise…

THIS HURTS!
What hurts…: The front of my foot between my ankles. Like when you bend it upwards, right there in the bend.I cant bend it or move it side to side. Really hurts when i try to walk on it..

How you hurt it…: I stepped wrong off of the sidewalk. It was a deeper drop than usual and my left foot like flipped over on the left side of my foot.

When you hurt it…: Today.

Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): resting it – 5 or 6 trying to walk on it – 9.

Your age and overall health…: 37.

YOUR INJURY COULD BE…
Sprained Ankle, Bone Bruise, Stress Fracture.

REHAB YOUR INJURY BY…
Icing: 15 minutes for 2 to 3 times per day, with at least one hour in-between.

Elevate: Try to lay on your back and place a pillow under your legs and ankle.

Toe Alphabet: On your back, hold your leg up behind you knee and write the alphabet with your big toe. All this should be pain-free. If you pain progressively gets worse, you may want to get an x-ray.

Sciatic Nerve Pain Rehab – Inflamed Sciatic Nerve

THIS HURTS!
What hurts…: left side of my back which i presume is my sciatica nerve, if i sit too much then the pain goes down my left thigh and sometimes down into my left shin or area below my knee.

How you hurt it…: don’t really know other than maybe lifting cans at work and it was easing until i did some gardening and then it got worse.

When you hurt it…: probably four or five months ago.

Your pain level (1 is low, 10 is high pain): varies between 2 and 8.

Your age and overall health…: 62 and overweight.

Any other information you feel is relevant…: eases when on my feet and walking around.

YOUR INJURY COULD BE…
Inflamed Sciatic Nerve.

REHAB YOUR INJURY BY…
Controlling Inflammation Around Nerve by Icing: Lay side-lined with the painful side up. Place a pillow between your knees for comfort. Place ice pack on painful region for 15 minutes, 2 to 3 times per day with at least one hour in-between.

One Knee-To-Chest: Bring one knee to your check and hold for 15 seconds. Switch to other knee until you have completed this 3 times on each leg. These exercises should not bring about pain, stop if they do.

Both Knees-To-Chest: Bring both knees to your chest together holding them there for 15 seconds. Repeat this exercise 3 times.

Nerve Glide: While on your back, bend your knees. Lift one knee up, while holding the back with your hands or band and pump your knee into and out of the pain. Repeat this exercise 10 times on both knees.
