My son is 4 months old, and I still have horrible back pain at times. Most of the time it’s a dull ache across my whole lower back, but at other times, it locks up completely and I can barely move.
Is this normal, and if so, when can I expect it to go away?
I did have an epidural, about 5 monutes before they decided to do a c-section, so it was really pointless. The pain is not in the same spot that they put the needle in.
I have the same pain and my son is only 7 weeks so i don’t know when it will end. my doctor gave me motrin 800mg for it, when it gets so bad its unbearable.

I have been experiencing back pain (localized to the middle-to-upper right region of my back) all day, especially when I take a deep breath. I’ve also noticed I get the pain when I move my right arm in certain directions, as well as if I twist my back to the right or left. But the pain is the worst when I take a deep breath. Could this just be a muscle strain? I’m not sure if pain from a muscle strain can be felt from taking a deep breath. Any advice and/or information would be appreciated.
Thanks.
There is a chance that you subluxated (partially displaced) a rib. This usually happens in the back from a traumatic incident, and can cause restricted and painful breathing. You also might have strained or bruised an intercostal muscle, located between the ribs. Either one would cause the symptoms you’re describing.
A chiropractor might help, as well as alternating heat and ice on the area. Start with 10 minutes of heat, end with 10 minutes of ice.
Gentle deep breathing exercises can help a displaced rib readjust. Follow the procedure in the link below, except only breathe in to the point where you experience NO pain. You will find that you can breathe in deeper the more you do it.

Two of the most devastating and often overlooked spinal dysfunctions are the hooked and side bent coccyx. When this tiny group of bones flexes anteriorly or bends to one side (typically the left), the dural tube tightens. In reported cases, a hooked coccyx has actually shut down central nervous system functioning by changing the shape of the brain and spinal cords piezoelectric gel, thus, hindering cerebrospinal fluid flow. When does the actual neck and back pain usually occur? I’m almost a month pregnant and I woke up this morning experiencing the worst back of my neck and back pain! I’m experiencing stiffness and sharp pains everytime I bend my head neck or back forward, even when I’m sitting down. Has any woman experienced this kind of back pain? When does back and neck pain usually start during pregnancy?
It could just be stress for you or you could have pulled a muscle.
Since you are only a month pregnant, I wouldn’t think that the neck and back pain was from pregnancy.
A cause for neck and back pain is because of the increase in hormones which causes a shift in joints and can loosen ligaments which could cause posture to change and a less support for your back.
Another reason is once you become bigger and actually have a pretty big belly, your center of gravity will change and this causes a different posture that your body isn’t used to., which over time will cause pain. Also when the baby becomes bigger and you start to gain more weight, your back has to support more weight in a different area than it’s used to. Ever carry a heavy back pack around all day and your back begins to hurt? It’s like that, only in your belly.
You can start to help symptoms of this by using pillows between your legs to even out your back while you are sleeping. There are also certain pregnancy pillows that are made specifically for pregnant women.
I started feeling back pain around 20 weeks. I’m also very small built and very short, and carrying a baby and baby weight for me was a struggle. You’ll start feeling pain once you put on more baby weight and your belly gets bigger, but it can all depend on your build.
Good luck to you!

Terry from Redding, CA
In March, she was given 6 months to live. She was diagnosed with galloping Multiple Sclerosis about 29-30 years ago. She would have a burning skin sensation like running an iron over a bad sunburn (pain level 10) constantly, no painkillers would work. She had limited movement/mobility with her arms, and her right hand was clenched up in a fist (for the past year). She had lost her sense of balance, and would often fall, so she also has had 5 years of back pain (level 10). This morning, she didnt take any pain medicine, and after she came in for prayer, she felt a healing warmth over her back (she could tell she was getting healed). ALL the burning pain left, she can raise up her hands all the way up, side to side, her right hand was no longer clenched! She can open her hand wide and touch every finger to her thumb. She regained her sense of balance and she then she was able to stand up and dance!
Her husband, Jeff, said that earlier that week, Terry was feeling very hopeless, because she felt unworthy to ask God for help and healing. She was near the brink of taking her own life until she finally decided to yield herself and came to the healing rooms!
Terry plans to go to an MS center in Sacramento to get all her tests redone to share the goodness of Jesus!

A tight piriformis can cause knee problems as well as piriformis syndrome where the tight piriformis impinges the sciatic nerve causing shooting pain down from the glutes area all the way down the leg (sciatica)
To perform Self Myo Fascial Release (SMFR) on the piriformis sit on a foam roller.
If you are going to do your right side, cross your right leg over your straight left leg.
Turn towards the leg which is up crossed over the leg and massage along the side of the glutes.
The piriformis is responsible for external rotation and is very powerful. It is deep so you have to find the right spot to get it with the roller.

Recently, maybe the past few months, my entire lower back has hurt non stop. Is there anything I can do to releave my pain besides advil, tylenol……… It hurts!!!!!
You really should visit a doctor. Sudden and constant pain like that, especially in your lower back, could be the sign of any number of ailments. You may have injured it…or you could have something more serious. At the very least, the doctor can prescribe a stronger pain killer and/or physical therapy. Good luck – AND GO TO THE DOCTOR SOON.

I am fourteen years old, and have had back pain for about three years, it comes and goes. My family practice doctor sent me to have X-Rays and MRI’s and I have even gone to a back surgery doctor, and they cant find nothing. I have gone to physical therapy and everything, it started with lower back, now is in my shoulders and goes done. It is throbbing, pain, that stays there. What could be wrong? Should my family take me to an out of town doctor? They keep saying "Muscle Spasms" but this much?
Get a another doctor or another doctor’s opinion.
